From the time of its construction, Pickett Chapel has been an integral part of the history of Lebanon and Wilson County. Built by slaves and free blacks who were skilled laborers c. 1829, this historic building is in need of restoration and revitalization to preserve this part of our community’s history. Your help is needed NOW so that the restoration of Pickett Chapel can be completed.
Together with the Wilson County Black History Committee, you can aid in preserving & restoring our community’s history.
